Most of the pieces we make are for pets who have died. Placing that order is difficult, and knowing exactly what happens next removes at least one of the unknowns.
1. You send the photographs you have
Old prints, scanned prints, phone pictures of prints, blurry favourites — send them all. A person reads every set before any work starts. If we need a better angle we will ask for it, and if the photographs will not work for the format you have chosen we will say so and refund you in full before making begins.
2. We agree the angle
One photograph becomes the reference, and it is fixed once work starts because the whole form is built around it. This is the moment to say “that one, but with the ears as they are in this other picture”.
3. We make the piece
Six to fourteen weeks, depending on the format. Questions that come up during the bench work are handled by email while it is in progress.
4. You see it before it ships
We photograph the finished piece from several angles and send you the images. Two rounds of changes are free; from the third round onward, further changes are charged by the time they take. Nothing is dispatched until you have told us you are happy — we do not treat silence as approval.
5. It arrives
Packed for the journey, with a numbered certificate for the Studio Edition pieces. Import duties and taxes are the recipient’s responsibility.
