How a commission works
Four stages, three separate waits, and one approval step that belongs to you. Nothing is made until we have both agreed what we are making.
Choose a size and send photographs
Pick the size, then attach your photographs right on the product page — several angles are better than one. You can add more from your account later.
We check them over
A person looks at every set of photographs before work starts. If something would not work, we email you rather than guessing.
We make your piece
Your piece is needle-felted by hand from wool. In-progress questions are handled by email while it is on the bench.
You approve, we ship
We photograph the finished piece. You approve it or ask for adjustments, and it ships once you are happy.
The three waits, kept separate
Most disappointment in custom work comes from three different clocks being described as one number. We quote them separately.
- Queue. How long until your piece reaches the bench. Shown on every product page and confirmed when we accept your commission.
- Making. Time on the bench for that format, starting from your scheduled date.
- Shipping. Standard service is typically 10–15 business days after dispatch. Express options and exact costs are calculated at checkout by destination.
Your approval step
When the piece is finished we photograph it from several angles and send you the images. You either approve it for shipping or tell us what needs adjusting. Adjustments within the agreed design are included; a new pose, a different pet or a different size is a new commission and is quoted again.
Reference photos
We build from one main reference angle. That angle is agreed before making starts and cannot be changed afterwards, because the entire form is constructed around it.
