Cut into the silver, not printed on it
An engraver takes your photograph and cuts the portrait directly into the metal. Because the likeness lives in the silver itself, it will not wear off, fade or peel — it stays with you, year after year, looking every bit as sharp as the day it arrived. Before anything is cut, we send you a proof of the engraving, so you know exactly how it will look.

Sizes, and how to choose
- 1.5 cm — delicate and understated, sitting at the collarbone. Comes on a 45 cm cord.
- 2.0 cm — our most-loved size, clear and easy to read. Comes on a 45 cm cord.
- 2.5 cm — the fullest portrait, showing every detail of the engraving. Comes on a 60 cm cord.
What to send us
One clear, bright photograph of your pet’s face is all it takes. Sharp and taken in daylight gives the finest engraving. Send a few if you have them and we will choose the one that will look best in silver.
You approve the engraving first
We send you a proof of the portrait before a single line is cut. You confirm it, and only then does the engraver begin. A name, a date, or a few words can go on the back — yours to choose.

Questions we are asked
Will the likeness be clear at this size?
Yes. The engraver works from the outline and the shading — the shape of the muzzle, the set of the ears, the markings around the eyes — and those are exactly what make a pet recognisable, at any size.
Can I put two pets on one disc?
Yes, on one of the larger sizes. Just ask and we will quote it for you.
Is it solid silver?
Solid sterling silver throughout.
How long does it take?
Six to fourteen weeks, and your proof arrives within the first few days.
