This is the piece most people choose first. Your pet’s face, needled out of merino wool by hand and set into a solid wood frame — small enough for a shelf, warm enough that you keep looking at it.

What it is

Everything you see is wool. Layer after layer of merino fibre is worked down with a barbed needle until it locks into a shape — no mould, no casting, no print. The eyes, the set of the ears, the way the markings fall across the face: those are placed by hand, one at a time, from your photographs.

Then it is framed. The frame is solid wood with a deep enough rabbet that the portrait sits back from the glass, the way a painting would, and the piece is finished with a wooden base so it stands wherever you put it.

Detail you will notice

  • Merino wool throughout. Fine, soft and dense. It reads as fur, not as plastic.
  • One pet, one portrait. The head and shoulders — the part of them you looked at most.
  • A solid wood frame and base. Made to be handled, and to sit on a table, a shelf or a windowsill.
  • Presented in a gift box. Ready to give, or to keep.
